For something that speaks of a cliche type of alternate world adventure, it is something definitely worth watching! The animation, special effects and sounds were altogether spectacular! The cast is downright amazing! Especially Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes)! Yiiii! XD *I'm having new crushes!* I admit Skandar Keynes / Edmund was quite young (really young still) when he appeared in the first movie, he's really totally HOT when I saw him in the second one! It's like he grew! hahaha! And yes... he's sooooo HOT already! It's like he transformed from being "totoy" to being "hotANDawesomeness" Haha.~
Check out his biography in wikipedia. You won't believe what lineage he came from! coughcharlesdarwincough. Plus! Super philosophy and sciences related bloodline!!!! Oohhhh! I'm loving him much much! =D
(this isn't turning out to be the blog I first planned on making)
Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley) also matured quite a bit. She looked more fitting for the role than she did in the first movie. I'm quite sad two of the Pevensie children aren't going to play major roles in the next movie, which is planned to be shown in 2010.
I'd like to add something my History 1 professor shared to us one time about C.S. Lewis' books. He said it was God-related. At first I thought it was ridiculous, but after some deep thinking and relating and digesting... I can agree with my prof now.
(movie 1) The death and resurrection of Azlan somewhat represented Jesus' death and resurrection. (movie 2) Susan asked Peter what/who he was fighting for and Peter gave no answer, the battle after that was a loss. But, in the last part of the movie, he finally understood who he is fighting for (I guess). One scene showed him shouting "for Azlan!!!" It was victorious and Azlan helped them. It's like when we are asked in our lives, "whom are you living for?" Without an answer, we feel empty. But when we are living for someone, most especially if we are living for God, life feels whole. And in everything we do, we see God's grace and power.
(nagiging self reflection na toh ah!)
Basta. Narnia is definitely a very very inspiring and good movie! =) | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Animation |
Here's a movie with an assurance for straight laughs! It's something anyone of any age would definitely enjoy watching! (I did!!! =D) The animation is great, so are the sounds and the action MOVES! Heehee! Plus the animals are cute! (well. some of them are. coughpandacough)
I love Master Shifu too! And the baby Tai Lang (spelling please??) when he wasn't evil yet. hmm.... He even might look good when paired with master Tigress. hehe! The story is really amazing too! It offers much lesson, especially for the keen ones who get it. The turtle master usually gives most of the most amazing quotable lines. =)
The best part was realizing that there was actually no 'secret ingredient'. Naging Naruto din ang theme nila oh!!~ paniniwala sa sarili! Destiny does not determine ones life, it's his belief in himself. (naruto! hahaahhahha!)
The noodle father was also very understanding. He actually played an important part in Po's decision. I like his role! =) I also loved the acupuncture part! haha! Especially the distorted facial expression due to the facial nerve disrupted. The viper was also cute! I love the little flowers on her head. She's actually the one who gave Po the kinder heart. Ironic. Siya yung pinakamabait sa lima.
All in all, this movie is something the whole family would enjoy watching more than once! Hahaha... wallet galore! insert~ (though) I doubt kids would get the deep lessons, but I hope they do. =)
